Yesterday our apartment building was crawling with cops detectives and state crime scene squad. It looked like something from the CSI TV shows. It's amazing how closely what they show on TV resembles real life. While TV really is make belief and fantasy and it can only do so much within a specific amount of time, in real life they were here from about 12 midnight the night before till about 2 or 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
It is so sad that people are so disgusted and angry in life that guns have become the choice of weapons to use in such a non nonchalant way. It's as if there's nothing wrong with shooting some one. There's no remorse no shame, no guilt about using them at all. It used to be that people would fight it out but not shoot to kill. What is our world our nation even our communities coming to? What are we left with when these things happen.

When everything was said and done yesterday there was such a hush over the community. I could feel the fear and even trepidation of the people. It caught us all off guard. Here we live in such a rural area and we are all just trying to live our lives the best we can and get along with our neighbors. But a shooting? Someone in this community shooting some one else? It's just not heard of; not here? We do have our problems just as any other community, but this? It's just unreal but yet so surreal.
The sad thing about this shooting is that the person doesn't even live here. He is not a tenet here his grandmother is. When she not here she let's here grandson stay and he's the one with the gun. Now there are no guns allowed on this property what so ever not even BB guns. So how is it he comes to have a gun, and in addition to having it, he uses? It's just such a sad case.
This is all I have time for right now, but I will be back periodically to write about this as the air begins to settle and we try to find some normality in our community as we know we are forever changed because of this one isolated incident.
